Pippa’s Advent Case Files is a free 24-day countdown in which, every night of Advent, a saint quietly visits your house.  Each case opens with a mysterious trace at the door, straw, a gold coin, or a scrap of lace, and a code for your kids to crack before the visitor’s name is revealed.

WHAT’S IN THE KIT

• Six evidence cards. This is the piece kids remember. The night a new case begins, you hide that saint’s evidence card somewhere in the house — on the doorstep, in a shoe, on the windowsill. Your kids find physical evidence in the morning, puzzle over it all day, and race to open the door that night.
• Six full-color saint portraits. The keepsake versions of each visitor, designed to display through their case and collect year after year. (The app includes free black-and-white versions to color. These are the ones you frame.)
• The Family Case Log. One keepsake sheet to mark each case solved, signed by your family of detectives, with a blank for the year. Fill it out this Advent, tuck it away, and start a tradition.
• The Case Closed certificate. For December 24, when all six cases are solved and the last door opens.
